Filip Müller, a Jewish Slovak, was born on 3 January 1922. He died on 9 November 2013. The title of his book translates as “special treatment.” In the euphemistic language of Nazi bureaucratic, this expression denoted the mass murder of, especially, the European Jews, mainly committed in the gas chambers of the extermination camps, such as Auschwitz. His first deposition was published in 1946 in a Czech book. He next testified first at the 1947 Krakow show trial against former staff members of the Auschwitz Camp, then in October 1964 during the Frankfurt Auschwitz show trial. In 1979, a book was published in English and German.

Filip Müller, place and date unknown. Müller was a Slovak Jew born in Sered’. Deported to Auschwitz in mid-April 1942, he was a forced worker at Auschwitz I and later at the IG Farben factory in Auschwitz-Monowitz. Since July 1943, he had to work at the gas chambers and crematoria in Auschwitz-Birkenau.. Muller then testified at the Second Frankfurt Auschwitz Trials in 1964. Müller is also one of the primary witnesses in Claude Lanzmann’s Shoah. Since 1969, Müller has lived in Western Europe.
